Letters and Numbers
Horrible decision to rest or end Letters and Numbers. We need Australian content and especially clever and educational and interactive shows like L & N with great hosts and brain challenging fun. Dementia is on the rise in Australia and we need L & N to help create healthy brains.

Countdown doesn't compare!
Forgot to add that I've seen the Countdown version and it's hugely inferior to L&N. It's an insult to think that we would be satisfied with Countdown as an alternative to L&N.

Bring back L&N!!!
SBS, you must be mad! This is such a popular show with people of all ages. It's funny and educational, with 3 great hosts in Lily, David and Richard. Importantly it's locally produced, and appears to be at a fraction of the cost of other programs. L&N is the ONLY show we watch in our household - we look forward to watching it every night - with my 2 primary school aged boys and myself competing in a fun way and learning from the amazing brains of Lily, David and the contestants. I'm so disappointed in SBS. Surely they'll reconsider!

Wrong decision, SBS!
So disappointed that this decision has been made. This program appeals to so many people and is watched by so many that I know. It is watched nightly by many of the children I teach, by a number of my elderly relatives and by many of my friends. This program appeals because of its positivity.

Lily is such a powerful role model for young women who excel in Maths and the Sciences and this is a very valuable thing. She does a great deal to encourage children to enjoy Maths, and David plays a powerful role in encouraging children to enjoy words and letter play. Many families sit down to watch this program together as a shared intellectual and fun time and this cannot be replaced.

Such a costly error! PLEASE RECONSIDER, SBS!!

What a disappointing decision this is! Why is the UK program better than our own version? Why is imported content better than our own locally-made content? This program has run for years in other countries and it is so popular here, why remove it? This is a very BAD decision, SBS - you are sending lots of wrong messages.

Please reconsider this and show that you have faith in Australian-made TV!

What the ... ?
This show has been running for years in other countries. Are we so ignorant in Australia that we would cancel it? Don't know about anyone else, but it's done wonders for my 75 times table. Keep it going please.

Ritual gone... Institution gone...
Letters and Numbers was the only programme I actually watched on telly, instead of online. Our family catches it everyday and we get grumpy if people interrupt us! A rainy day outside, a warm fire going, and the familiar comfort of Letters and Numbers and its three excellent hosts was absolute luxury. Countdown is great, but it lacks the class and finish of our version. I honestly thought this show would run decades, such was its artistic success. Surely it'd be cheaper to keep going than buy the UK's version?

Can't believe Letters and Numbers is to be taken off, my wife & I loved the programme & wouldn't miss it. We enjoyed the contestant battles as well as the presenters, also found it a good stretch mentally with the puzzles. Please get it back on air as soon as possible.

Please reconsider your decision regarding replacing Letters and Numbers with Countdown. The whole family watches the show and we love Lily, David and Richard. we will miss them tremendously. The show has been the talk of our friends who all love it and we always catch up to watch it and do the conundrum dance when we solve it. It is great fun and will be missed.
