6:30 news
We have been great fans of Letters and Numbers, and have chosen to continue on SBS for the 6:30 news. We would probably return to ABC news if L & N goes...

What a shame to axe such a great show. We watch it as a family. Bring it back, please.

sbs is letting itself down
SBS is letting itself down by even considering to ax this program. They're known for their more considered & interesting programming, with Letters & Numbers being no exception.

What does SBS say about Lily and her new SBS program
http://www.sbs.com.au/food/article/5640/Destination-Flavour
“Lily Serna. Lily is a mathematician, and co-host and resident numbers expert on SBS's popular Letters and Numbers with David Astle and Richard Morecroft.”
Ah yes “SBS’s POPULAR Letters and Numbers” If it was POPULAR when that website went on line on the 15 March then what caused it to become UN-popular three months later?

Such a shame... my 6yo and 9yo love the show as well. I hope they at least consider a board game :)

Good television
Quality telly? Not an oxymoron. SBS - retain LnN for quality's sake.

Letters & Numbers
It's many years since I considered any television program as 'must watch' - until Letters and Numbers. Intelligent, stimulating and witty with an excellent group of presenters it is/was a real pleasure to turn it on every week night. Apparently SBS 'hopes that the appetite for Letters & Numbers will be satisfied with the very popular UK series'. This is most comforting if somewhat strange as our appetite was most certainly met by the Australian version, apparently unrealised by the management of SBS. Apparently the intention is to offer us 'new, great [Australian?] content'. More food programs?

A dark day
My family and I have been watching L&N for many months now. Everything is on hold from 6pm, and my children often ring their grannie after the show to discuss answers. Grannie has even provided our children with a 75 x tables to help them with the numbers.

This is a terrific show, with Richard about to burst out of his seat with excitement, David similarly jumpy, and the gorgeous Lily (sigh), with maths ability worth bottling.

Please don't send us back to Channel Nine News, with our great "mate" Peter Overton and his girlie reporters like Dimity Clancy who did an interview with a farmer as they both sat on horses during the hunt for Malcolm Naden. Top shelf reporting there, Dimity. This show does us a favour by being there for us.

L&N has brought three generations of our family much closer with fun, entertainment, learning in an exciting format that works. Please don't take it away from us.

Letters & Numbers
I can't say it any better than has already been said. I'm staggered at the decision to dump Letters & Numbers! The ONLY program worth watching on TV, in my opinion. The chemistry between Richard, Lily & David and their individual skills, is a large part of the show's success. A locally produced program that is entertaining, a pleasure to watch and stimulates & improves mental function, being dumped??? Strike me pink! It's got me stumped! Sincere thanks to Richard, Lily & David, for the pleasure they have brought to our family.
