Value of letters & Numbers to older people
Letters & Numbers assists those in the third age to keep their brains active. My wife and I, both in our eighties, have watched the programme since its inception. It has even encouraged my wife, an avowed hater of maths, to learn her 75 times table in order to be competitive. Fortunately she has no problems with anagrams which she solves for pleasure.

Letters and Numbers has a strong and ever-growing following. A quiz show for young and old, sanity in a format of simplicity and skill - and healthy for the aging brain! I'm shocked that SBS would even consider axing it!

Please save our favourite program!
This comment is on behalf of at least 25 of my students who are very upset that this program will end. Many have come to see me today to tell me the news and to ask how they can change SBS's plan. Their ages range from 7 to 12 and they are all regular watchers who compare notes most mornings on the program the night before. We even play a modified version of L&N in class! The children are very upset that the program is ending tomorrow - it has been such a positive thing for them. Many have been 'turned on to Maths' by Lily's calculations and they love sharing the new words they've learned from David.

Please change your mind, SBS!

Have protested to SBS regarding the "resting" of this delightful little program. It is one of the few "intelligent" and entertaining quiz programs available on free-to-air. Why on earth SBS could not afford to keep it going as well as other locally-produced shows, we cannot imagine - it doesn't appear to be a highly expensive show to produce. What a shame that once again, Australians will be deprived of watching an Australian-produced program.

Please keep Letters and Numbers!
My 7 and 6 year old watch this every night.
They love it and get loads of word practice too.
Lily's mathematical prowess is so entertaining!
Please don't axe this show, and whatever you do, do not insult us by giving us an overseas made version. Do more of your "6 billion stories and counting ..." here SBS!

Please don't cancel Letterrs and Numbers
This is one of the most entertaining shows on TV. It is almost mandatory watching at our place. The show provides excellent role models for young women to entertain maths as a career, with Lily as such a role model.

The team has kept this family enthralled - we all love it. We won't be watching the English program, back to Time Team and Grand Designs. I also won't be watching Lily's new lifestyle program - what a waste. We want this stimulating, brain teasing show.

As one of the only intelligent quiz shows on television, I would be devistated if this was 'rested' on a more than short term basis.
It is important for people to see that their culture can embrace intelligence, that being smart is sexy, and that it is not something that only other cultures subscribe to.

I regularly watch this show with my family and have a lot of fun trying to complete each round ourselves.

Please continue to make and air Letter and Numbers.
Thank you,
Jess.

Please save letters and numbers
My grand daughter visits each wednesday evening and has to quickly sit and see how many words she can make with the letters. The numbers are also a challenge. We watch the show together.
