Help save Letters and Numbers

great family show that is very interactive and educational. UK version of the show with Carolis good but should be supporting Australian tv. Have both shows on.

When compared to the rubbish on TV Letters and Numbers is a stand out. Something myself and my children could sit down, watch and play along with at our own levels. There is enough TV that requires people to swith off their brains and nowhere near enough shows like this that actually ask you to think! Please keep the show going!

I am a Mathematics and English as an additional language (EAL) teacher. I had the privilege of appearing on Series 1,Episode 8. I have been in good company, with my University lecturer Barry Harridge, former student teacher, Christopher Scholten, student Jeremy Rosen, and friend Rob York amongst others appearing on the show. I am sure that they would all agree that young (and older) Australian minds needs a show like Letters and Numbers. SBS Australia can help make learning to look "cool". Keeping Letters and Numbers on the air, means encouraging younger Australians to seek to be smarter. Quite often my students will stop me in the school grounds to tell me very excitedly that they beat the clock, that they had formed different words, or that they found an alternative pathway to an answer. The benefits of Letters and Numbers to young minds and older minds are obvious. Pitting one's wits against the contestants is an exhilirating experience. I was an early (flogged) participant on the show and have watched it ever since. I saw the UK version while I was there and it comes from another country, not ours & with our own presenters (Richard, Lily & David) each of whom do a great job.

Keep it on! Make some more SBS!

We don't always get to watch letters & numbers, but when it is on the whole family gather around and challenge each other. Does the ABC realise just how cool this show is. My children think they are Moss (or should I say 'the word') from the IT crowd whenever they play.
It can only get worse if it is replaced by half an hour of Andrew Bolt.

I can't believe that a show such as this, which is a low budget Australian production, with so many supporters can be axed. It is a brilliant show and keeps the mind active. Please please don't axe it - what else is there to watch at 6.00 pm.

The joy of Letters and Numbers is that it is locally made, has Australians of all ages and experiences competing, and many of the words and expressions that are 'dissected' on the show are Australian. These cannot be replicated in an English show, even if the format is the same.
