Help save Letters and Numbers

What on earth has possessed SBS to make such a disappointing and sad decision? Letters and Numbers is a great show, the best show on televisin; no hype, no arrogance, and it stretched one's mind. I would have liked it to go for an hour.
The presenters are all polite, charming and intelligent REAL people, not a self important twerp in sight!
I hope the executives at SBS see the error of their ways and give us back Letters and Numbers.

What were SBS thinking in giving Letters and Numbers a "rest". We will not be watching repeats of the English version. It's not the same. Shame on you SBS. Who can replace Richard, David and Lily. We personally met David Astle and we were blown away by his genuine personality, and SBS now goes and thrusts this other show on us. "NOT HAPPY JAN".

I have been an avid viewer of Letter and Numbers since the show's inception. My evening routine will never be the same. I had even considered applying as a contestant, but now this dream has been shattered due to the narrow-minded 'powers that be' at SBS. Surely the wonderful David, Richard and Lily deserve better, as do the Australian public.

SBS you are dead to me. You give and then take it away.
What is going on with your programmer????

What was that garbage SBS served up this evening at 6pm instead of L&N? What an insult to the viewers, SBS, that you would remove a quality local program like L&N and dish up a re-run of an appalling quiz program!

Removing a quality LOCAL program like L&N and filling the gap with a mediocre UK version of the same program is a serious insult to the legion of L&N fams out here in viewer-land!

It is also an insult to Lily's intelligence and ability that you would move her to YET ANOTHER COOKING PROGRAM! Oh no, not more!

Time to listen to the viewers, SBS, and start making decisions that will keep people watching your channel, not switching off! This evening I lasted 5 minutes on the quiz program and went straight back to the ABC. I'm sure I wasn't the only one!

What eejit decided to axe this great show, which was a battle of wits -- not something rhyming with it that describes the content of most other television channels.

Richard, David and Lily will certainly be missed. Lily on a cooking show not exercising her magnificent abacus like brain! Woeful, stupid decision.

David's stories were always interesting. I learnt a lot of things on this show, as well as the 75 times table.

Australia dumbs down even further.

I have been keeping my wits sharp by watching Letters and Numbers, and am distressed it will no longer be showing. What do you mean "resting"? Euphemism for cancelled? There are very few intelligent programs on the television; this was an oasis in the desert.

Cancel this show at your folly. Your viewership will diminish greatly. I am in many fellowship groups, and the show is discussed frequently. I have never heard one negative comment. Now you cancel it. Bad bad decision!

Will miss L&N, especially David's stories.
Maybe SBS would have more money if they actually used their advertising space wisely, instead of flogging the same few golden child tv shows ad nauseum every single break - remember 'the family'? - they advertised it every 5 seconds and it was a complete dud. Someone release the rodents!
