PLEASE don't let's see the end of this show. Intelligent, good-natured, well-mannered, and fun - this combination is all too rare on our TV screens!

Family Viewing
My children and I used to watch and play Letters and Numbers every night as a family, a time we all looked forward to. We were so shocked and upset to find out it had been cancelled. When I tried to explain TV channels sometimes do things like that to save money, they were even more confused and worried about what would happen to Richard, David and Lily.
There are not many quality family viewing shows such as this on TV, so please SBS rethink your decision.

Travesty!
Bring this no-hype, pleasant evening show back.
Entertaining. Educational.
Sad not to have it when I get in this last few days.
Turn around SBS.

Moronic move SBS!!
We are SWITCHED OFF until this marvellously entertaining show with it's brilliant 3 presenters and local participation returns absolutely intact!!!!

Disappointed beyond belief, the end of an institution. And this will be replaced with what - repeats of the English version? Pathetic. This can only be budget-driven - so much for SBS integrity.

But then, we know SBS considers anything foreign to be superior to the local product.

This is a very disappointing decision. I just don't understand why a station would axe a popular program. The program not only has an excellent format but is engaging. Everyone watching also tries to outdo the participants, so everyone is a participant.

One of the best shows on telly. Disappointing decision SBS! You've just lost a viewer!

Bring Back Letters & Numbers
What a disappointment! Surely this very entertaining, sensible, Australian, educational, mind exercising show for young and old would have, given time, continually attracted many more viewers to SBS as an appropriate family lead-in to their excellent international News service. The inane News alternatives on commercial television in the L&N time slot are surely no match for the combined SBS and ABC alternatives that followed L&N.

I'm not sure if they have yet, but surely there is enough obvious disappointment showing in the comments here and on the SBS website to require SBS management to explain this seemingly inexplicable decision.

I'll treasure even more my Macquarie Dictionary autographed by Richard, David and Lily which I received as a losing particpant on the show.

SBS chooses b-grade over simple quality
SBS has just axed their last wholesome show (other than their cooking shows which are pretty good too!)

SBS, have some respect for your viewers and put this show back on! This is what we should have more of on telly. it is something that I would be comfortable watching without having to worry about being ready to change the channel in case someone in my home is offended/assaulted by what comes on.

I missed your 6pm slot tonight, but your ADBC program that followed was a disappointment!
