Letters & Numbers
We have watched and "taken part" in this show for years trying to make up words and mentally calculate the required numbers. We love the show and it is the only one we would not miss each evening. At our age (80's) it is a great mental stimulus. Please oh please bring it back. The current replacement is a very poor substitute and we will not watch it again.

Save Letters and Numbers
Lily makes maths fun and David gives meaning to meanings of words. My mother thinks it's one only a few shows worth watching on TV.

So upset by the axing, sorry 'resting' of Letters & Numbers..a very poor decision by SBS!

Letters & Numbers
Please reinstate this show. It was one of the few shows that restored some normality to the general dumbing down effect of most other TV programmes. Richard, David and Lilly were intelligent, polite and pleasant; such a refreshing change from the rest of TV.

letter and numbers
My partner and I love this show - there's nothing else like it on television. I'm always surprised at how different the contestants are - all ages and occupations - and all obviously fans of the show. It's fun to pit my brains against the contestants - and I was just getting the hang of tweaking!
Love all the presenters, esp Lily. Please, please bring it back.

Unrecognised Benefits of Letters and Numbers
My wife and I have been fans for quite a while and are terribly dismayed at the decision to drop Letters and Numbers. My wife had a knee replacement recently. In the month or so after the operation she felt her brain had been "fried", due to the effect of the anaesthetic. By pitting herself against the 'letters and numbers' she soon regained her confidence.
It is wonderful to have such a show with such intellectual and educational impact. Please don't drop.

Please reconsider
I must admit that I am both confused and outraged by SBS's recent decision. Letters and numbers are each highly useful devices for communicating words and quantities respectively; why would a television station decide not to use them at all? And how is that even possible? Nobody wants to watch "Pingu" and "Boobah" for twenty-four hours a day -- even an infant child would get frustrated by the continuous stream of ridiculous noises lacking in any kind of rational sensibility whatsoever, be it linguistic or numerical.
For the sake of the children, SBS, do not cancel letters and numbers.

This is OUTRAGEOUS! All the boys love this show! what will they replace it with anyway?! Something with all them words along the bottom in typical sbs fashion? NO THANKS! Lily is the reason i get out of bed in the morning. I've nicknamed her 'calculator brain' which is HILLARIOUS becuase she has a brain like a calculator. And how does Davo know all them words?? Ill give it away if this show doesn't continue. OUTRAGEOUS

Axing of Letters and Numbers
The axing of this fine Australian show is unbelievable. The show offers a welcomed mix to keep the mind active as well as entertained. Lily, David and Richard are extremely welcome guest in our house each day. The show appeals to all ages from the very young through to the elderly. Please do not replace this show with yet another overseas production, this show is one of a kind, and if we wanted something else we would go to a commercial channel.
