My favourite program
L & N, my favourite program, 'resting'? You cannot be serious if that really means 'gone for good'. Like many others, I so enjoyed watching Richard, Lily and David at the end of a hard day - it's far better than drugs to take you away from the hassles of business, and it's an excellent de-stresser. I predict you're going to hear about hordes of people leaping from tall buildings and jumping off bridges because they can't take their minds off their problems by watching L&N.
Please bring back our Aussie boffins!!!!!

Letters and Numbers outrage
I am saddened by this transparent cost cutting measure by SBS. Ways to cut costs:
1. One newsreader, as originally Anton Enus was during the week and Li Li Chin was on the weekends. Why do you need the tag team of two newsreaders. Have the news readers rotate part time.
2. Less soccer commentators. Craig Foster is unnecesary. Just have Les Murray.
3. Eurovision. Why send Sam Pang, just the wonderful Julia Zemiro.
Re Rockwiz -- suppose you'll get rid of that next, haven't noticed any new ones. Repeats for about a year. Who have you got there, three people? Seems to be a pattern emerging here.
Suppose you'll just buy more of those shows with the guy with the beret, which does not appeal to me, or more Heston Blumenthal!
This is a truly stupid, lamentable, inconsiderate, unthinking, atrocious, wicked (in the original sense) and inane decision.
I will not be viewing your channel until justice is done and Lily, David and Richard return.

Come on!
I don't watch anything regularly but I always linger and watch all or most of Letters and Numbers when channel surfing! It's one of the few shows on TV with any intelligence, and Lily is hot! Come on, cancelling this kind of show is ridiculous!

Get it back on!
I so looked forward to getting home from work ready to watch Numbers and Letters before cooking dinner. Had so much fun working out words and number puzzles. The N & L team were just fabulous and so beautiful to all the contestants. SBS you are ridiculous axing such a wonderful show and have ruined my evenings!!!!

Inane decision by SBS
I was gobsmacked when I heard the "resting" statement voiceover indicating the death knell of the best show on television, Letters and Numbers.
SBS, you have saddened thousands of people, even past contestants have added their names to the wails of complaint.
The English version! All this is is cheap. We have already seen this with the ABC swamped with River Cottage and their ilk, and you have enough imported shoes, e.g. Shameless, which you would just get on DVD in any case, so why axe such magnificence? Richard Morecroft did not need a stylist, nor Lily Serna.
I have not been more impressed by anybody on TV with their cornicopia of knowledge than David Astle. I am a cryptic crossword attempter, and viewed him with annoyance prior to this show, as his clues are generally impenetrable. David explained how to crack some of these clues which was highly impressive.
Nine letter word to describe SBS management, ignorami! I won't be watching until you bring it back on. What about all your ad revenue?

Bring back Aussie Letters and numbers
Please do not axe the Australian version of Letters and Numbers. It is a very entertaining and informative show, and is watched by the whole family most days. A word mix for the SBS executives,
GIANTRON if you do not bring back the show....
Please reconsider, and a big thanks to Lily, Richard and David for the many hours of brain fun!

Letters and Numbers
I was saddened to hear that Letter and Numbers is to be dropped. It is one of the few television programs that is mentally stimulating and fun to participate in.
I am sure it is beneficial for older citizens like myself for it keeps the braincells active.I have actually almost learnt the 75 times table - or at least up to 10x75.

Please save L & N
This is crazy - I have watched the French original version for a long time and the Australian version was even better. I can't get home by 6.00pm so always record it. Please don't show the UK version it is not worth the air time. Richard, David and Lily are a great team - please don't axe the show. How can you axe something when the books from the show sell so well (they have to or you would not have printed so many editions). The demand is here for local content and a great show. Please reverse your decision SBS!

Intelligent Viewing
Letters and Numbers is a dignifed and pleasant end to the working day and brings an intelligent approach to television which is all too often banal and irritating these days. The challenges are beneficial to the greey matter and I find I get better at both the words and numbers each week. Particularly when I bone up on my 75 times table. Rather sad that we only dicovered L&N a few months ago and have missed so many episodes. Clearly SBS hasn't giving the show its share of promotion.

No. No. No.
C'mon SBS we love Richard and we love shows that force our brains to work while watching TV. So rare these days. Isn't that having the best of both worlds?
