Help save Letters and Numbers

This is one of the only shows that provides stimulation for the minds of all ages of people. This has proven health benefits in preventing 'aging' diseases such as Alzheimer's and senile dementia.
Plus, of course, it is a truly great and entertaining show with Richard, David and the indomitable Lily being more like family members than show hosts. We can think of no higher praise.

The odious Sam Pang now "graces" my television screen at 6.00 p.m instead of the wonderful triumvurate of David, Richard and Lily. Replacing Letters and Numbers with this dreadfully crude show, with that awful blonde, who I found very annoying on Spicks and Specks, is like comparing Pavarotti to Jimmy Barnes.

What depths will SBS be prepared to sink to in their brazen cost cutting measures?

The tour de France would bore the deceased, and now I must return to the ABC to watch Grand Designs with Kevin Thompson; not happy with this stupid, rude and arrogant gesture -- and to just fob your viewers off with you are "resting" the show. In my view it wasn't on for long enough to get tired. It was always refreshing. David Astle, in particular, is a beacon of non-arrogant intelligence in an increasingly celebrity filled pit of vacuity.

Get rid of your excess newsreaders, if you must, and I can think of about six sportscasters that could go.

Bring it back on, please!

I can't believe the replacement program which is vulgar rubbish. When will SBS stop this horrible decline in its standards? Who are the (so-called) management who are doing this?

Please don't tinker with what works for us SBS!

Numbers and Letters is the only show on TV worth watching!
SBS, like all other channels wants to dumb us down.

Compelling viewing and slowly I have been converted others. Really the best game show around.
I concur with others in thanking those involved for giving us some exceptional viewing and sincerely wish the producers and SBS would reconsider this decision.

I was devastated to learn that L & N is to be "rested". This show has been the highlight of my day - Please, please SBS bring it back soon after only a very short rest - like as soon as the Tour de France is finished. Screen the British show as well if you like, but NOT instead of letters and Numbers.

Are you listening, ABC? Snatch Lily, David, Richard and this show from SBS right now! (Who now remembers that Margaret and David ever had a show about movies on SBS?)

If SBS think that Letters and Numbers should be axed and replaced with another dumb cooking show then they deserve to go into media oblivion. Totally unbelievable. Why strive for reality mediocrity when you already have the best programme on TV ? The list of quality programmes is diminishing so fast that all that will be left is ..... well imagine !! Thank God for a good book - TV has shot itself in the foot - yet again !
