Don't Axe Letters and Numbers
This was the only show worth watching on TV.

Axing: 'Resting' of L & N
From my nightly fix of L & N - entertained and stimulated by Richard, David and Lily - I became a convert to the excellent SBS News: you will lose many such followers with this extraordinary decision - given with such an innocuous reason you have treated SBS fans with contempt.

"Resting" or axeing(?) of letters and numbers
Our family is most disappointed to hear of the SBS decision. A successful, entertaining and (judging by all the comments) a well-loved programme. As much to the point is the fact that it is unashamedly Australian and demonstrates that it is not necessary to compete for mega-dollars to create enjoyment for the contestants and for the audience. We will keenly miss our daily treat of Lily, David and Richard and all the clever Australian participants. Please bring them back as soon as possible.

'Resting' of Letters and Numbers - poor form
Very poor decision SBS! This was the only show I would never miss. As others have mentioned it was witty, informative and intellectually stimulating without being showy and over-the-top like all the other trivia shows out there. To replace it with another country's version simply won't be the same. Sometimes the audience doesn't want 'exciting and new', they want the tried and true that they love. The French original has been going since the '60s, the English since the '80s, and the Aussie version only for 2 years? Don't let another network pick up the format. SBS is the only channel my husband and I can pick up where we live, and another network will only sensationalise it. Very disappointed, SBS.

Bring back L&N
This is the one show I try not to miss. I have vastly improved my mental arithmetic ability since watching it and I love Lily, David and Richard. Its so good to find a program that doesn't operate to the lowest common denominator. Shame on you SBS.

Letters and Numbers
My wife & I are extremely disappointed with the 'resting' of Letters & Numbers, one of the few TV shows worth watching on a regular basis. The worst aspect is that no explanation has been given to us 'mug punters' who have been treated with contempt, nor was there any prior warning. We thought it was just having a short break while the Tour de France was on. The whole issue has been very badly handled.

Letters and Numbers
Don't care much aboput the 6pm show but to my wife and myself the 3 pm repeat is important. Please just change the time to 3pm if you like.
With thanks if the show stays on.
Regards, Anthony

Please don't axe Astle
I was sceptical when SBS started running this copy of a boring English show but I am a big fan of David Astle and was completely won over by Lily. Why ditch an entertaining, family friendly show where contestants play for fun? Don't go even more commercial on us SBS.

I can't believe it!
Letters and Numbers is (has been) the best show on television. It really gets the mind working and has even got me enjoying maths!
Also the good values shown by Richard, David and Lily, along with the excellent manners of the contestants, is a breath of fresh air.
I have always looked forward to Letters and Numbers each day.
Please bring it back!
