Appalling and insulting decision by SBS
This is our money you are using, SBS. It is taxpayer funded. I do not want Tour de France or soccer.
Bring back Letters and Numbers. Have some respect for your viewers, who are, in essence, paying your wages.
The English version will not be as good as home grown. Why do you insist on assaulting us with Heston Blumenthal, Monster Moves, and the totally annoying Bear Grylls?
And then, to add insult to injury, I turned on at 6.00 the other night, hoping against hope that good and common sense would prevail, and I would see the smiling threesome with words and calculus, when my jaw dropped to see Sam Pang -- in an old show pre the past Eurovision, in a show which was crude and an insult to the intelligence.
Lily Serna gets a job, the others are hung out to dry. Very fair, not. If she is in a cooking show, presuming she is not doing it from home, it will cost SBS money to fly her hither and thither. And they "rest" an extremely popular show for this! I know community groups who have taped the show and shown it to have competitions. This is a rubbish decision. Apart from Shameless there is nothing I now watch on SBS; and, if the vast dearths of time that elapse before Shameless is put back on again, I won't be watching.
I suppose you have axed Rockwiz and not had the decency to tell us. Australian, must be bad, three people, pattern emerging.
Rethink or sink!

Destination downhill!
I write to register my extreme displeasure with this recent decision by SBS. Was L and N too wholesome for you, with no swearing, etc?
The fact that Lily Serna is the only one offered a job is wrong. David Astle is brilliant as is Richard Morecroft.
I add, when people complain about this awful manouvere by SBS and their names appear in the support section, it doesn't help that people have just written things like "anna"; there are many more examples. This doesn't then look like a proper petition.
Letters and numbers must come back. I can't imagine what mental midget made this cruel decision. Surely you can see from the extent of complaints on this website that people are dismayed by your decision. Please reconsider!

Forget me, SBS!
SBS is novel. Where else do you have Eurovision, which is mildly entertaining, merely to observe the interesting costume choices exhibited. The tour de France bores me rigid. I cannot stand it, and, apart from a few villagers standing around in picturesque settings in France, etc., there is absolutely no grabbing factor. The rest is just watching lycra clad bike riders from the back. Not interesting.
On the other hand, for half an hour a day we can exercise our brains with David, Richard and Lily. David Astle is an absolute marvel and brilliant.
I am not impressed that Lily has been offered a job. What about Richard and David? And Lily in a cooking show? With Destination in the title, I would envisage she will be travelling far and wide. Won't this blow the apparently tight budget at SBS. Letters and Numbers would have minimal costs. Or was Lily offered the job BEFORE the demise of L and N. One wonders! In any case I won't be watching her waste her excellent brain on yet another cooking programme.

Letters and numbers
Please reinstate a new series of this show. We are bombarded daily with quiz shows, cooking shows, lifestyle shows on the other channels. it is such a pleasure to enjoy an intelligent show. Terrific presenters and competitors.
Substituting the English version is unacceptable. We love(d) our Australian version. PLEASE.

Why not try a different timeslot ?
If L&N is being cancelled due to a low number of viewers why not try a different timeslot ? Most people aren't aware of this program because they aren't home by 6:00. A later timeslot might help.

Letters and numbers
Please bring back Letters and Numbers. It's a great show and the English version is no substitute. At the very least, be honest with your audience about why you have taken it off air.

Are you nuts?
Lily is one of the most captivating presenters on TV. SBS is lucky to have her. Are you guys nuts? Leave this show on! Or at the very least make sure you don't lose her.

Please reinstate Ll & N
I watched this most nights. I can't stand the gee whizz banal competitions on other channels and certainly won't bother watching the British version. I am attached to Richard and his civility.

Dark times ahead of us, dark times...
It saddens me that there are very few gameshows that reward participants based on their mental abilities. I understand that games of chance and luck might be more appealing to general demographic, however if every chanel presents the same mindless routine mental stimulation will cease to exist. Leters and numbers is one of our last hopes. By canceling this show you are encouraging shows like 'jersey shore' and 'snog marry avoid'. Our future generations are screwed to say the least.
