Set and staff
So the program was made at ABC studios so where is the L&N set being stored or has that been crushed and dumped? What are the staff, technicians etc doing now? Is there any chance that the ABC will take it over without changes and using the same presenters, set etc? Hopefully somebody will tell us very soon.

LETTERS AND NUMBERS PARTY
We're having a dinner party with friends tonight. Before dinner we'll be watching Letters and Numbers, competing against each other and drinking a toast to Richard, David and Lily with HAGPECAMN. Work out that full Monty!

Please don't axe this show. It is one of the few remaining bastions of televised interactive intelligence in Australia. A game show with purpose and educational benefits. Colour it up if you wish, have a celebrities round (there are many smart ones...), do a tour of schools, offices or retirement villages. I'd even survive with only 15 minutes at a higher pace but please keep the show going as it is entertaining thousands and gradually becoming one of the icons of the inspired SBS programming.

SAVE L&N
First off, I and my husband were the thousands of people who lobbied politicians to increase funding for SBS. This resulted in extra funds in the millions for the broadcaster. Of course, the money was meant to support SBS so it didn't have to advertise. Have advertisements stopped? NO!
It seems like an extra twist of the knife now to have L & N axed...PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR DECISION. L&N is the quality quiet time my husband and I spend together before having dinner. L & N is the only mildly intellectual program we have on TV. Don't you want your viewers to think..even if it's only for 25 minutes? Let's not become the 'DUMB' as well as DRUNK and RACIST. Be reasonable, keep L & N going.

L&N
What muddle headed wombat at SBS decided L&N had to go. It is the only program our family watches together and with an age range of 6 to 68, there is something in the program for all. What an absolute shame.

Axe Letters and Numbers - Outrage!
As my husband and I are in the "older" age group we watch Letters and Numbers at 3pm. Everything stops at that time in our household, except our brains. We rely on Letters and Numbers to keep them working at their best - and we love it.

What possible reason is there to cancel this show? More popular than ever, with a definite market for its merchandise.

I watch Countdown online, and though lovable, it suffers from a much slower pace than Letters and Numbers.

Countdown has its place- daytime or late evenings. The freshly produced Letters and Numbers has its place- PRIME TIME where it deserves.

Only a couple of years in, the enthusiasm of the studio audience easily matches that of its much longer established UK counterpart.

I don't see why one should be sacrificed for the other.
