Letters and Numbers
I can not believe SBS axed such a wonderful and education programme. It is quite educational and helps person like me.
(I am from non-English speaking background.)It is great to know the new words. I have practiced everyday to get better so I can go on the show one day!! SBS, please bring back L & N.

Green Guide today
Debi Enker's view on the demise of L&N, which is also in today's printed Age Green Guide. She's not happy.

After the 10.00 am news this morning is Jon Faine's weekly TV segment. He and Enker spent 5-10 minutes discussing L&N last week (including David Astle, who rang up), but they only found out during the show that L&N had been axed. There might be more this week. You can listen live from here. (Sometimes Enker comes on a few minutes before 10.00, so there could be a bit then too.)

Inform, educate and entertain
The purpose of SBS is 'to provide multilingual and multicultural radio and television services that inform, educate and entertain all Australians, and in doing so, reflect Australia's multicultural society'. Letters and Numbers did this beautifully, with their many contestants (English being their second language!) from many different countries.
Do they seriously think that Countdown will reflect Australia's multicultural society? It certainly will not satisfy our appetite for Letters and Numbers.

LandN What have SBS done with the "Comments"
The SBS L and N site showed several hundred protest comments last Friday - I have just checked & they have all been removed. There is only one comment from today.
What are they up to??

letters & numbers
We found this show very educational for our 4 children aged 13, 11, 10 & 7.

We totally loved it and hope SBS brings it back after the Tour de France.

Bring back Letters and Numbers!
It was entertaining and educational. A locally produced programme for the whole family. And no doubt relatively cheap to produce. The UK version will not be the same. Lily and David were really great. And Norm was fantastic!

Boooooooo!!!!
Seriously SBS what are you doing? Is it a matter of money? Because if it is I am happy to donate a dictionary per episode to cut your prize costs.
